Building network security tools and studying offensive security from a rogue access point detector with real-time risk scoring to hands-on exploitation and digital forensics work.
A Windows endpoint security tool that detects "evil twin" Wi-Fi attacks in real time. Combines seven independent detection signals — beacon frame hardware fingerprinting, gateway TTL anomalies, DNS resolution probing, and signal-strength baselining — into a single weighted risk score, so a rogue access point can't hide behind a spoofed SSID or MAC address alone. Backed by AES-256-GCM encrypted storage, a SHA-256 hash-chained tamper-evident audit log, and an automatic WireGuard kill switch enforced at the kernel level. Validated against a live evil-twin attack and a 53-access-point university campus environment.
An end-to-end encrypted messaging app built from scratch for a closed group of friends, with WhatsApp-level polish as the bar. Offline-first architecture backed by a local Drift/SQLite store, AES-256-GCM message encryption with X25519 key exchange running in a background isolate so the UI never stutters, and a self-hosted PocketBase backend with real-time delivery and read receipts. Currently mid-build on media messaging and group chat encryption.
A full digital forensics investigation plan built around the real 2014 Marriott Starwood breach, covering cybercrime classification, evidence acquisition strategy across workstations and a MySQL server, and detection of a steganography-based anti-forensic technique used to hide a keylogger inside an email image attachment.
Hands-on exploitation writeups spanning a full SQL injection chain (CVE-2019-20183) from recon through SQLMap exploitation, SNMP enumeration and hardening, an ARP-spoofing packet-sniffing attack against an FTP server, and a Windows unquoted-service-path privilege escalation to SYSTEM using a Metasploit reverse shell.
